Carl Holsøe è stao un artista danese che dipingeva principalmente interni. Ha studiato alla Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts di Copenaghen nel 1882-84 e poi al Kunstnernes Frie Studieskoler sotto Peder Severin Krøyer .Ricevette diverse borse di studio dall'Accademia.
